The Tenby Talking Newspaper organisation wishes to say a huge thank-you for a very generous donation.
Last Friday, the Very Rev. Jonathan Lean, chairman of the Pembrokeshire Blind Society, presented a cheque for £300 to Eva Rich, chairman of the Tenby Talking Newspaper.
Eva expressed sincere thanks to the Pembrokeshire Blind Society saying that this donation would assist with the recording, copying and sending out of the 65 CDs of the Tenby Observer to the visually impaired recipients each week.
The Tenby Talking Newspaper is produced by one of five teams of volunteers.
It was very fitting that Team 4, doing the recording last Friday, was from St. Mary’s Church in Tenby, and included - leader Chris Sierwald, Judy Davies, Alan Brooks (who was joining the team for the first time), Jayne Rees, and Rev. Nigel Griffin.
Also in the photograph is Tenby Talking Newspaper’s treasurer, Bob Storey, who looks after the finances and equipment.
If any visually impaired person would like to receive a weekly audio version of the Tenby Observer, please contact Eva Rich on 01834 812868.
