Pictured is Tenby cadet, Able Cadet Sally James, who has gained a place to visit Canada as part of the UK exchange team. She will travel with other cadets from around the UK and spend three weeks at the international camp for Sea Cadets.

She is now starting to raise the funds needed to pay for the trip; the total cost will be £1,000. She has some already and there is some funding available from the national charity, MSSC, so if there is anyone or organisation who would like to help with the funding, please get in touch with the unit.

Other cadet news, cadets have been away training and gained qualifications as PTIs, and are now awaiting the start of the boating season. The year’s round of inspections are about to start and hopefully all will go well.

The cadets have offered to help with the beach clean in April, Carten 100 in May and are looking at other community events to get involved with.
