Unfortunately 2020 was a terrible year for charity fund-raising at Tenby Rotary Club. All four of the club’s main fund-raising events had to be cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions, i.e. the two ‘Summer Spectaculars’ at Tenby Harbour, the Charity Golf Day at Tenby GC and the fireworks at the rugby ground.
Nevertheless, Tenby Rotary dipped into its reserves and found £450 to donate to the Paul Sartori Foundation, Pembrokeshire’s Hospice at Home, a very worthwhile cause and reputable charity.
Rotarian Richard Ormond is seen presenting the cheque to Toni Dorkings, Paul Sartori’s community fund-raiser.
Depending upon the easing of restrictions, Tenby Rotary is still hopeful of being able to arrange a few fund-raising events later this year.
Furthermore, Tenby Rotary is always seeking new enthusiastic and like minded members.
Those interested may wish to visit one or more of the Rotary websites including www.rotary.org or www.rotarygbi.org
