Two Tenby charity fundraisers will be hoping to ‘Conquer the Cotswolds’ next week when they ‘Take on the Tower’ challenge.
Julian Rossiter and his cousin Gareth Noot, are taking on the Heineken Race to the Tower - Ultra Marathon on Saturday, June 9 to raise money for Cure Leukaemia.
Described as an ‘unrelentingly beautiful and unforgettably challenging’ experience - the ‘Race to the Tower’ sees emtrants take on just over a double marathon of 52.6 miles, through quaint traditional villages and medieval burial grounds, before finishing at the magnificent Broadway Tower.
“As a family, we have been affected by cancer on a number of occasions, and we felt that this charity would be the best way to remember our loved ones,” said Julian.
“We both fancied a challenge this year, and felt that a 52 mile double marathon was just the thing to test us out!
“So dig deep guys, and help us reach, or better still, totally smash our target for Cure Leukaemia,” he added.
Their friend Dafydd Owen is also joining the pair to take part in the challenge.
