An historic exhibition taking place at St. John’s Church in Tenby has been praised by the town’s mayor.
The United Reformed and Methodist Church of St. Johns in Warren Street is celebrating its 150th anniversary, with a number of planned events in place throughout the year to mark the occasion.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, said that she was on hand at the opening of the display of church history at the facility, which runs until Saturday, and that it was ‘well worth seeing’.
“Well done to all involved with this exhibition at St. John’s Church, it is wonderful,” she remarked.
Other planned events at the church to mark the anniversary include a knitted Bible display between July 24 and August 24.
