CONGRATULATIONS to Sonny and Molly Perkins, of Tenby, who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary yesterday (Thursday).

The couple, who now reside at Tyssul Court, Park Road (where they were the first residents to move in 30 years ago), were married at St. Mary’s Church, back in 1951.

They held their reception at The Salad Bowl, which was located on the Croft, with local firefighters, who Sonny was affiliated with, forming a guard of honour for the couple.

The big day was snapped by ‘Dai the Photo’, who, just before he was called into action, told the couple in true Tenby style “hang on, I’ll be there now... I’m just having a cup of tea!”

Sonny played for Tenby United RFC for a number of years, before going on to be a well-known figure at Tenby Golf Club.
