The money generated is still being counted, but it looks certain to outdo any of the previous events and allow Tenby Round Table to donate all the proceeds to their chosen charity, Bloodwise, the blood cancer research charity.
The event took place on Friday night, with Symphony Sid and the Swing Kings headlining, and all day on the Saturday, with the Wales v Australia rugby game and The Collective keeping the crowds entertained.
The event featured over 25 different ales, along with a range of ciders, lager, wine and a very popular prosecco bar keeping those attending in fine spirits!
The event was hosted and planned by Tenby Round Table as part of their programme of charitable events throughout the year. They were supported by a variety of friends, helpers and volunteers, with Valero sending several volunteers to help on the Friday night.
The set-up before the event and the clear-up operation following it kept the organisation very busy, but they can take a huge amount of pride in the fruits of their labour.
Local businesses were able to support the event by sponsoring a barrel, which provided a huge boost to the event and will allow even more money to be donated.
Tenby Round Table chairman Joost Geertman commented: “Huge thank you to everyone who attended the event, hopefully allowing us to give a huge amount of money to this very worthy cause. I want to say a special thank you to our members, helpers and volunteers and my fellow members of the planning team that produced the event, Jonathan Webb, Dan Cope and Ed Spence. Thank you to everyone who made the event such a great success!”
