Twelve students of Greenhill School, all year 10, took part in a Teen Take-over day last week.
The group of students took part in two community projects throughout the day, as part of the Prince’s Trust Award they are doing with the school-based youth worker.
The group completed a litter pick of Tenby’s South Beach walkways and the paths leading to the Jubilee Park, where they also carried out a litter- pick and of the skate park.
They then started work on discussing ways in which they could help to reduce the anti-social behaviour that has been recently highlighted in the area.
Students went to Tenby library to work on their plan and have a discussion on ideas that would work.
They also planned follow-up work from the litter pick they had done that morning.
The group were supported by the school-based youth worker, the substance misuse youth worker and a participation youth worker, with thanks going to all these for their continued support.
The group would like to thank Pembrokeshire Youth Bank for the funding to enable this project to go ahead.
They would also like to say a huge thank you to Domino’s in Tenby for providing the group with lunch.
The group were delighted and the staff were incredibly grateful for their generosity.
