A special night of celebration was held, to say thanks to fundraising superstars.

On Wednesday, August 18, The Rotary Club of Narberth & Whitland met at Narberth Rugby Club to give thanks to those who helped in their recent “Sunday Night Fever” spectacular and to present cheques to support the ongoing work of Cancer Research Wales and St Johns (Cymru) Wales Ambulance.

Hosting the evening were N&W Rotary Club “Events Impresario” John Hughes together with Narberth Rugby Club Chairman Rob Lewis. As well as the cheque presentations, a short video of the event (produced by “Showboat”) was also shown to remind everyone present of just how much fun the evening had been.

£2400.00 was raised by the event, and a donation of £800.00 was made to Cancer Research Wales, received on their behalf by Helen Davies. Remaining funds will be used by N&W Rotary together with Narberth Rugby club to support ongoing charitable causes. A further donation of £300.00 from club funds was given to St Johns Ambulance (Cymru) Wales in recognition of their valuable support of the event.
