The third Garden Party and Summer Extravaganza took place this month in aid of The Daniel Bridle Memorial Fund (Bone Cancer Research Trust).

The sun shone, there was an abundance of bric-a-brac, books and cakes on sale with home-made cakes as well as those provided by this year’s sponsor Welsh Cottage Cakes, who donated a huge range of their branded cakes which included their renowned and much-loved barabrith.

There was also a huge selection of plants for sale, with many being donated by the Greenway Nursery at Pembroke Dock.

As usual, there was putting, bowls, hoop-la, marbles challenge and many other games, including Name the Unicorn (Stella) and a raffle with just short of 30 prizes donated by numerous sources, including National Botanic Garden of Wales, Celtic Haven, Lydstep Garden Centre, Upton Farm, Caroline Bridle, Rachel Knox, Co-op Kilgetty and Mary and Peter Cooper.

A toal of £839.45 was raised on the day and Susan and Brian would like to extend their sincere thanks to everyone who attended and to those who supported the event, including Welsh Cottage Cakes, Pembrokeshire County Council, Tesco Pembroke Dock and Haverfordwest, Morrisons Haverfordwest, Aldi Haverfordwest, Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen, Co-op Kilgetty, Greenway Nursery and all the other numerous individuals who contributed to make the day such a huge success.
