Eight student nurses have teamed up to raise money to pay for iPads so patients at South Pembs Hospital can keep in touch with loved ones while they are unable to receive visitors.
The nursing team - Ruth Morgan, Anna Griffiths, Chloe Thomas, Aneesah Tamlin, Shanice Riley, Dominika Szwab, Lisa Prest and Shannon John - have launched a Just Giving page and are also organising a Christmas raffle and plan a sponsored walk in January.
They have already raised £635 and hope to purchase three iPads before Christmas, and some more after their socially-distant walk in the new year.
Ruth who, along with Anna, is based at South Pembs Hospital, said they really wanted to help patients speak to family and friends when it was not possible to receive visitors.
“Most of the patients at South Pembs Hospital are there for rehabilitation, so are in hospital for quite some time,” 40-year-old Ruth, who lives in Pembroke, said.
“It is lovely to see them able to speak to their loved ones on the iPads.”

And if you would like to purchase a £2 raffle ticket, just donate to the Just Giving page, with your name, and mentioning the raffle. Someone will then get in touch with you.
