Pupils of Stepaside CP School have been working really hard on their attendance. Their goal has been to raise the attendance across the whole school each term. Certificates were presented at the end of term to all those with attendance above 98 per cent and all of those names went into a draw for a £5 individual prize. The reward for the winning class for their efforts is a bowling trip. Last term saw a hard fought battle between Classes 5, 6 and 1. The triumphant winners for last half-term were Class 1. You can see them pictured here at the Phoenix Bowl in Milford Haven. New headteacher, Mr. Paul Harries, said: "Regular attendance at school is vital. An attendance record of 90 per cent is equal to one day missed per fortnight. If this continues from Year 2 - Year 6, a total of sixth months education will be lost."
