At this month's meeting of St. Mary Out Liberty Community Council, in the absence of the chairman, the vice-chairman, Clr. Morris, acted as chairman.

The chairman welcomed Darren and Kathryn from PLANED who gave a presentation about PLANED and where they may be able to assist with various initiatives. After answering questions, it was agreed that PLANED should contact the booking secretary of the Village Hall to obtain a list of the users of the hall so that they could set up a base for further discussion. The chairman thanked both Darren and Kathryn for the information that they had provided.

Matters arising

Clr. Morris reported that he had spoken to the owners of the Mini Market to discuss the parking of large vehicles on the roadway outside the Mini Market. It was agreed that very little could be done other than to apply for parking restrictions which may not suit everyone.

Planning Applications

Proposed two wooden poles, 11 and 18 Hunters Park (council discussed the application and studied the enclosed plan showing the proposed poles. It was agreed that council had no objection providing that the immediate neighbours had been consulted by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. The clerk would contact Pembrokeshire National Park); development of 12 Holiday Cottages, Well Park, New Hedges (the clerk advised the meeting that Mr. Basford had sent an e-mail to the clerk and chairman. The chairman, Clr. Herrick, had replied to the e-mail on behalf of council dealing with each point that Mr. Basford had raised. The clerk was in possession of both Mr. Basford's e-mail and the reply which he would retain on file).

Update, Electoral Boundary Changes

The clerk read a letter that he had received from Tenby Town Council. The letter advised that they objected to the proposed boundary changes and wished to see the boundary with St. Mary Out Liberty moved in a northerly direction to include Park House Court in Tenby North Ward. The clerk had written to both Simon Hart MP and Mrs. Angela Burns AM enclosing copies of the letter and also objecting to the proposed changes. Clr. Morris, who had done so much work over the boundary issue, had also sent letters. Clr. Morris would continue to fight the case for St. Mary Out Liberty to retain its current boundaries.

Matters

Faulty gully, near Knightston Lake: Clr. Hall reported that the work had now been completed.

Footpath, St. Anne's Church: This matter had been dealt with by County Councillor Mrs. Cavill. She was continuing to monitor progress. The footpath was in place, but still required the final surfacing.

Adoption of St. Anne's Drive: The clerk had sent an email to Pembrokeshire County Council to request a meeting with the developer. There was no further progress to report.

Playing Fields and Village Hall

Clr. Hall advised that the safety works on the play equipment had been completed as a temporary measure until the main works were carried out in September.

Any other business

Clr. Nash reported the difficulties that people were experiencing in negotiating the final steps from the footpath to the beach at Waterwynch. The clerk agreed to contact Pembrokeshire National Park.

Clr. Hall reported a complaint from Mrs. Watts that five slabs were broken in the footpath between White Park and the Mini Market. Mrs. Watts was concerned that someone would fall as a result. The clerk would contact Mr. Codd at Pembrokeshire County Council.

The matter of bins for dog waste was mentioned. Several councillors felt that it would be helpful to have such bins located within the community. The clerk would discuss this with County Councillor Mrs. Cavill on her return and also Mr. Codd.

The clerk stated that he would refer the matter of the position of the rubbish bin at the playing field to the village hall committee.

The next meeting will be September 13 at 6.30 pm.
