The congregation of St. Issell’s are delighted that the work on the church tower is now complete and what a magnificent job has been done on it. The outside of the church looks fantastic and the work on the inside has made a huge difference. This was phase one of our renovations and over the coming months more work will take place to make other parts of the building water tight.
The church grounds have also had a makeover. PCC member Pat Poole has organised a team of gardeners who meet on Thursday mornings, weather permitting, and with much love and care have made a huge difference to the outside areas. Not all the volunteers are church members, so it is especially wonderful that they give up their time to help us.
As a church we would like to say thank you to Pat and her husband Don, to Joan and Lionel Allen, Mick Booth, Mike Perry, Peter Wright and Wally Marr for taking on this task. They have been helped by The Hean Castle Estate with cutting the grass around the back of the church and we are thankful for the help and support given to us by the Lewis family.
We invite you to come and share in our beautiful church. The inside is a wonderful peaceful place if you need to find somewhere to escape for a while and the grounds are full of history and a pleasure to walk through.
