A special celebration was held last week for local William Arthur Morgan to mark his milestone birthday.

Affectionately known as Arthur, Mr. Morgan of New Hedges, who turned 100-years-old on May 16, enjoyed the celebrations at a party organised by the Begelly Golden Age Club of which he is a member.

As well as being presented with a special cake to mark the occasion at a do held at the Kilgetty/Begelly Community Centre - Arthur also received a congratulatory card from Her Majesty The Queen.

County councillor for the ward Clr. David Pugh was also present to pass on his well wishes to Arthur, before a few glasses of bubbly were raised by his fellow Golden Age Club members and friends.
