THE Rotary Club of Narberth anad Whitland is offering young musicians the opportunity to perform at Rhos-y-Gilwen commencing at 3 pm on Sunday, June 17.

‘Sounds Fantastic’ has become popular over recent years and provides an opportunity for talented young musicians to perform non-competitively in a magnificent concert venue with a paying audience.

The concert, lasting two hours, will include an interval of 20 minutes.

Performers will be expected to have achieved a level equivalent to Grade 6 or above.

Each performer will be allocated 10 minutes and will be asked to play their choice of one classical and one modern piece.

Unfortunately, the Rotary Club is unable to provide accompanists. Parents are therefore asked to arrange for this in good time for the concert.

A list of accompanists is available from Emma Halls (via the Rotary Club) if required - contact John Sleigh on 01834 860 014 or [email protected] to obtain a simple uncomplicated application form.

On completion, including signatures, the form should be received no later than Friday, April 20.

Applications will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis taking into account the need to achieve a balance of vocal and instrumental performers and a range of instruments. A standby list will be maintained in case of cancellation(s).

The concert is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Narberth and Whitland.

Tickets for the audience will be on sale in May and June at £8 each for adults.

There will be no charge for children under 16. Parents will receive one complimentary ticket.

Food and drinks may be purchased from the bar before the concert and during the interval.

Pre-orders will be appreciated by the catering staff at Rhos-y-Gilwen.
