Scooter enthusiasts will be ‘wheelie’ welcomed back to Tenby at the end of the month, when the annual rally rides into town over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Laurence Blackhall told his colleagues that the De Valence Pavilion would be hosting some events for the British Scooter Rallies Association’s Welsh National Scooter Rally, which would be back in town from April 29 to May 2.
“It will be a very busy weekend for the De Valence, starting on Friday evening when a number of bands will be playing from 7 pm to 2 am.
“Then we’ll have to turn the building around for the following morning when the expo will take place, before another set of bands take to the stage on Saturday night,” he said.
“So, if anyone can dedicate any time to help turnaround tables or assist staff at the venue, it would be really appreciated.
“The De Valence made some considerable money last year; the only reason we achieved this though was through voluntary contributions,” added Clr. Blackhall.
DJ sets and an end of rally party are also set to take place at Tenby Rugby Club over the Scooter Rally weekend.
