The wreath-laying ceremony at Saundersfoot on Remembrance Sunday, November 9, will once again take place at the St. Issell's War Memorial, at 10.55 am. By kind permission of Mr. David James, the parade will assemble on the roadway inside the Old Mill Caravan Park adjacent to the War Memorial at 10.45 am. (No cars to be parked on this site please).
The parade will move off at 10.50 am and will be met at the War Memorial by the Rev. Marianne Osborne and the choir. The parade marshall will be Mr. Doug Havard.
Following the wreath-laying ceremony, all those present are invited into St. Issell's Church for a short Remembrance Day Service. Standard bearers will assemble outside the rear of the church for the vicar to receive the standards at the altar steps. The standards will be returned to the standard bearers at the end of the service.
A rehearsal for standard bearers and escorts will be held at St. Issell's Church on Saturday, November 8, at 10 am. It would be most helpful if all standard bearers and colour parties would attend so that they would know exactly what to do on the Sunday morning.
Anyone requiring wreaths, please contact Mr. Jeff Pearson on 01834 813388. All cheques and donations must be made payable to the RBL Poppy Appeal and forwarded to Mr. Jeff Pearson, Valley Farm, Valley Road, Saundersfoot.
