September 1 was a lovely sunny day for 21 Saundersfoot Strollers who headed out in the morning to repeat the Strollers’ first ever walk which took place nearly seven years ago in November 2013.

It was really pleasing that three of the original Strollers were able to head out to walk the same original route on Tuesday morning.

Starting from the village the 4 mile circular route went via Coppet Hall to St.Issels Church, through the woods to The Ridgeway, down to Westfield Road, up Moreton Lane, over footpaths to Hopshill Lane, where Strollers encountered quite a bit of mud at one point!

Then over fields to emerge from the woods onto Ragged Staff and back to the village where refreshments were enjoyed at base camp - Little and Large Lite Bites and next door at the Boathouse.

“As much as we need the tourists in the village it was indeed so nice to enjoy a social distanced coffee and a chat with friends in a very relaxed atmosphere without trying to negotiate your way through crowds of people!” said Stroller Lyn Sandall, who is pictured with fellow members Anne Penny and Sue Townsend - all three who were on the original walk in 2013.
