Children from Saundersfoot Playgroup and Daycare headed out on their annual sponsored ‘toddle’ recently, walking from their base at the Regency Hall to Coppet Hall and back - which is a long way for little legs!
Fifteen of the 2 to 4-year olds struck out, enjoying Saundersfoot’s sensory gardens on their way down to the Strand toward Coppet Hall.
The return leg took them back across Saundersfoot beach, where they hunted for curiosities washed up on the tide line. The big jelly fish and ray eggs they found were especially exciting!
Egging them on during their great adventure was the promise of an ice cream, which was generously handed out at no cost courtesy of Dan Edison at the Mermaid gift shop.
The efforts of the children raised an amazing £266 so far, funds which will go directly to the essential resources and running costs of the Saundersfoot Playgroup, a registered charity.
“We at Saundersfoot Playgroup and Daycare wish to say a huge thank you to all those that came with us in the day or sponsored the children on this toddle,” said Cheryl Evans, Playgroup leader.
“If you wish to donate monies, time or resources to our wonderful non-profit playgroup; then please contact us at [email protected], 07984 756288 or find us on Facebook,” she added.
