When Rotarian Sam Harrison celebrated his 90th birthday at the Plas Hyfred Hotel in Narberth in November last year, the Area No 2 Dyfed Army Cadet Force provided an excellent display of their prowess in recognition of Sam's days building bridges in the army.
On Wednesday, February 8, the president of Narberth and Whitland Rotary Club, Graham Haddleton, presented Army Cadet Sgt. Major Elliot Daley with a cheque as a way of thanking the cadets for honouring Sam in this way.
The cadets were neatly turned out in their uniforms for their parade. It is always a pleasure to see local youth involved in such a worthwhile group activity. Rotary's association with local young people also includes competitions for Young Musicians, Youth Speaks and Young Chef.
The Area No 2 Dyfed Army Cadet Force is based at Narberth in the building known as 'The Bus Stop' on the Town Moor Car Park. They meet every Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm.
