As progress on the A40 Penblewin to Slebech Park improvement project for the Welsh Assembly Government intensifies, so does the Costain and Project Team fund-raising for local groups in the community.

Joined by the all the partners involved in the scheme, a weekly 'bonus ball' competition organised by Phil Baker, Jean Jones and Sian Williams raises a monthly donation.

Costain public liaison officer, Phil Baker, commented that everybody taking part was eager that the funds raised should be donated to local groups and following the first donation to St. Aidan VA School, Wiston, the second donation was made recently to Narberth Junior Life Saving Group.

Pictured receiving the cheque is Mrs. Jennifer Price, who was delighted with the boost to the team's funds, as new equipment is desperately needed.

County Clr. Wynne Evans was thrilled to be able to assist connecting the junior team with Costain and hoped that this would be the start of an ongoing relationship during the next 18 months of construction on the Robeston Wathen bypass.
