Firefighters used cutting equipment to release a female trapped in a car which had been involved in a road traffic collision on the westbound carriageway on the A40 between Carmarthen and St. Clears on Monday.

Firefighters from Whitland and Carmarthen attended the accident. The female was given oxygen therapy at the scene, before being conveyed to hospital by ambulance.
