The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot would like to thank all those people who gave so generously for this year’s highly successful International ’‘Shoe box’ campaign.

The photograph shows some members of the Saundersfoot Rotary Club sending the 1,025 boxes at the start of their long journey to Eastern Europe to arrive there before Christmas. The boxes contain gifts for boys and girls of varying age, as well as gifts for households.

The club has been involved in this particular charitable event for over 20 years and this year the boxes reached a record high number. The help, generosity and support of the local community is giving people in less well off circumstances a happier time during this season of goodwill to all mankind.
