An online hustings event will take place on Wednesday (April 28) evening featuring all Senedd election candidates for the constituency of Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire.

The event which is hosted by the churches of South-West Pembrokeshire and Local Ministry Area will begin at 6 pm.

The candidates are listed (alphabetically) as follows: Alistair Ronald Cameron (Welsh Liberal Democrats); Cefin Arthur Campbell (Plaid Cymru); Paul Haywood Dowson (UKIP); Jon Harvey (Independent); Riaz Hassan (Welsh Labour); Samuel Deri Kurtz (Welsh Conservative Party); Peter Graham Prosser (Reform UK).

“On behalf of the churches of the Local Ministry Area of South-West Pembrokeshire, I will be chairing a special online ‘Question Time’ style event on Zoom,” said Vicar of Carew, Cosheston, Nash and Redberth Joel Barder who will be hosting the event.

“The election on May 6 is extremely important and we all have a responsibility to play our part in the election of a Senedd member for our constituency.

“Having a so-called ‘hustings’ event enables us to hear from the candidates - all of whom have confirmed they will attend - and question them concerning issues that are important to us.

“We want it to be a well-mannered debate, with an opportunity for us to hear more about why we should lend these candidates our vote,” he added.
