Concerns have been raised with the low pavements in Narberth following torrential downpours in recent days.

At a town council meeting on Tuesday Clr. Glinys Meredydd raised the issue following flooding that hit residents in the town, forcing the deployment of sandbags.

In response, the Mayor, Clr Chris Walters, said that he was with the fire brigade.

He said he was told that the drains had not been jetted for some time in Narberth which could be the source of the problem.

Clr. Walters added that it was a priority that the drains get serviced to help deal with the issue.

Narberth Town Clerk, Caroline Coaker, said she would email Pembrokeshire County Council about their concerns regarding the drains.
