Police have issued a warning to local residents to ensure their premises are secure after a theft from a farm.

Sometime between September 22 and last Friday, a quantity of lead, valued at between £400 and £500, was stolen from a farm area off the A478 between Penblewin and Grondre, Clunderwen.

Police say that someone unknown drove down the long lane up to the yard, before making a selective search of off-cuts/end of rolls of lead from the building trade which were piled up behind a building.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious vehicles pulling in or out of farm entrances, or a weighted down car/vehicles, is asked to contact PC1161 Dee Nix at Narberth Police Station on 101.

Police are advising everyone to keep items secured in buildings and to lock all gates if possible as they are experiencing a number of similar thefts of farm/garden items.
