Sir, For very many years each Sunday in Saundersfoot, during the school holidays, there was an open invitation for all to join an informal service at 7 pm on the harbour wall. These events regularly attracted between 50-100 holidaymakers and made Saundersfoot that little bit special. It was wonderful as the sun was setting to join others in reflection and in song.
Unfortunately, the local church decided to stop this a few years ago, but it has been disappointing that no other group has stepped in to fill this void.
My plea is for all denominations to come together to re-introduce this long term and very popular Sunday evening attraction in Saundersfoot. Surely there must be a local group out there who, like me, feel that this is an important event which is popular with visitors and locals alike? Hopefully there is plenty of time for this to occur in July/August 2018.
