Local councillors have been asked to be kept in the loop on Section 106 agreements that are put in place alongside developments in Tenby, after being given information by Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority on recent schemes in the resort.
With a review of the Local Development Plan (LDP) currently taking place, councillors in Tenby recently requested information on Section 106 planning obligations, which are private agreements made between local authorities and developers that can be attached to planning consent.
At Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Laurence Blackhall thanked PCNPA for a list of completed and ongoing developments where Section 106 agreements had been implemented or were being progressed.
“It’s quite interesting to see what they’re doing with the money, and increasing the social housing stock in the area,” he said.
“It’s difficult to go over old ground, but when we expect 106 agreements to be in place, we should be informed on developments of where they have not been implemented. Perhaps we can ask PCNPA for that information as an ongoing thing when developments come around,” added Clr. Blackhall.
