Obtrusive fencing and advertising hoardings surrounding a seafront scheme on Tenby’s South Beach should be taken down promptly, a local councillor has stated.
Work had been on hold for several years at the Water’s Edge development of luxury apartments on South Beach, following the original developers going into administration, but developer ButlerWall Homes purchased the site last year and now the second phase of the scheme has been completed.
Speaking at Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, Clr. Will Rossiter asked for the surrounding security fences and advertising signage to be now removed from the site.
“The fencing and the large signage there to sell the properties have been there far too long and are an eyesore in that area, so they should be made to take them down very quickly now the development is finished,” he told his colleagues.
The town clerk, Andrew Davies, said that he had messaged Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority’s director of park direction and planning, Jane Gibson, on the mater last month, but was still awaiting a response.
