Councillors in Tenby are still seeking a confirmation date on a proposed meeting to discuss plans for the Brynhir development.
The discussions, where members of the town council were due to meet with representatives from Pembrokeshire County Council, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and prospective developers, was recently postponed and has yet to be rescheduled.
At Tuesday night’s meeting of the town council, members were told that they were still waiting for an update from PCC’s head of property, Barry Cooke, on a meeting.
“As time is going on, we know that they’re doing things on this land, so I suggest we write a stronger letter,” commented Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown.
“Brynhir can’t be let as it is without them telling us anything,” she added, with Clr. Mrs. Tish Rossiter agreeing.
“It’s a bit like when the new school development went ahead on Heywood Lane under a cloud and we didn’t know anything about it along with the people of the town, so we have got to be kept informed on the Brynhir plans,” she said.
The town clerk told members that the last he heard was that PCC were in early negotiation stages with a preferred developer.
The Mayor, Clr. Laurence Blackhall, suggested giving it until the end of the week for Mr. Cooke to reply, and if they heard nothing, then he would personally write a letter to PCC’s chief executive.
