A planning application has been submitted to Pembrokeshire County Council to turn a former hotel into a residential care home.
The proposal by applicant John Smith (c/o agent Asbri Planning) is for a ‘change of use’ of the Cleddau Bridge Hotel to a 48-bedroom residential care home.
The closure of the hotel on January 2, leaving 40 members of staff out of work, came as a shock to staff who were only informed of the news at a meeting the day after Boxing Day.
The hotel’s owners Kullar Hotel Group, previously denied any plans to turn the site in to a care home.
