The Ladies Fellowship met on Wednesday, February 13, for their annual general meeting. Jayne welcomed everyone to the meeting and following the singing of a hymn, for which Val played the organ, she read a passage of scripture and offered prayer. Jayne then handed the meeting over to Emma, the fellowship's president.

During the evening, many items came up for discussion, including a spring trip, more details of which will be included next time and a programme of speakers for next winter. Emma thanked everyone who had contributed, in any way, to the smooth running of all the activities that the fellowship had enjoyed over the past year.

At the end of the evening, Elizabeth served the ladies tea and biscuits.

The Ladies Fellowship will meet next on Wednesday, February 27, when the speaker will be Mr. John Brock, of Milton. The ladies are grateful to John who so willingly accepted an invitation to speak at very short notice.

Over the past year, members and friends from the chapel have been busy fundraising for local charities. During the morning service last Sunday, Louise gave an update on the fundraising by PYSH Club for their nominated charity for 2012 - The Alzheimer's Society. Those present were overwhelmed to hear that the total raised was £2,255. This was raised through coffee mornings and craft sales and a brave effort on New Year's Day in the annual Saundersfoot Swim. Well done to all the young people involved and to those who generously supported events.

Alongside this fundraising, the chapel members and friends have lent their support to PATCH (Pembrokeshire Action to Combat Hardship) by weekly donations of food and clothing, held a spring concert for the HOPE Centre in Neyland and over Christmas raised £700 for the Withybush Young People's Diabetes Group. As well as practical help, our thoughts and prayers go to all those who need help and support as they meet difficult circumstances in their daily lives.

On Sunday, both services will be taken by Pastor Gooding at 10.30 am and 5.30 pm. when the Lord's supper will be shared. Sunday School will be held at 10.30 am.

PYSH Club will be held this evening (Friday) at 7.30 pm in the schoolroom.

A Christian welcome is extended to friends in the community to attend Sunday services or mid-week events.
