Wizzardy Witch and the Penally Fairies were very sorry to hear that Penally Village Shop has had to close due to a mains water leak. Up to now, the proprietors have kindly kept the Fairy Trail quiz sheets on the counter for anyone wishing to enjoy the walk, but now, the two village inns have taken on the task. You can pick up the quiz/trail guide from either the Paddock Inn or the Cross Inn, and then start from the shop, as before, to read the first clue.

The walk, which takes about an hour and a half, uses low- traffic lanes, and crosses fields above the village with beautiful views towards Caldey Island and Tenby. Sturdy footwear needed, and, unfortunately, due to the rough terrain, it is unsuitable for pushchairs or wheel chairs. Ten pence buys the quiz sheet, and includes a small prize for children on completion. Many donations to charity, entirely optional, have been generously received, and are welcomed in the future.

Grateful thanks are due to Penally Village Stores for their willing participation, and thanks to the ‘Cross’ and ‘Paddock’ inns, for enabling the Fairy Trail to continue. Thanks also are due to Kiln Park management who assisted with printing.
