Nominations will close at midnight this Sunday (October 11) for this year’s prestigious Sport Pembrokeshire Awards.
Ben Field, manager of Sport Pembrokeshire, said a number of excellent nominations have already been received.
“If you’d like to nominate someone for an award, please make sure you contact us by the end of Sunday,” said Ben.
He added: “Although the pandemic has obviously had an effect on sport this year, we are eager to celebrate the individual and team achievements which have nevertheless taken place and recognise volunteers working in grass roots sports.”
The awards are sponsored by Sport Pembrokeshire, Western Telegraph, Folly Farm, Valero and Radio Pembrokeshire.
Some categories have been amalgamated this year as a result of the pandemic and last year’s nominees are welcome again.
The categories are as follows: Coach of the Year; Adult Sporting Achievement; Junior (U16) Sporting Achievement; Disability Sport Award; Junior (U16) Disability Sport Award; Unsung Hero; Team Achievement of the Year; Young Volunteer of the Year; Club of the Year.
