EVERYONE likes a good story and when your working life starts in an agricultural college, progresses to 30 years in the police, followed by ten years as town clerk, and presently working for a firm of funeral directors, it’s guaranteed that you have, potentially, a book load of tales! Recently Phil Lloyd entertained the members of Pembroke Ladies Probus with some of his vocational recollections. A mixture of tragic, suspenseful, humorous events have been a part of his enriched professional life. Members, for example, learnt not to wear slip on shoes in a helicopter!
Vote of thanks for Phil’s lively, entertaining talk was given by Rita Evans.
