This year, Pembroke Farmers’ Club celebrates 200 years since being formed in 1817. The second oldest farmers’ club in the UK.
The club will be holding its annual show on Wednesday, August 2, at Lamphey showfield.
Pembroke show has continued to grow to become one of the largest one day shows in West Wales with something for all to enjoy.
The show will be held in the picturesque parkland setting kindly provided by the Phillips family, of Windsor Farm.
We aim to celebrate this bicentenary year with all the traditional classes and displays together with some new displays and attractions.
Classes range from cattle, sheep, goats, horses to vintage cars, tractors and implements. There is a large craft/produce marquee and also a fur/feather marquee, as well as many trade stands and exhibits. Sheep dog trials run throughout the day. Also, there is a public dog show and many displays, including a heavy (Shire) horse display as well as many attractions to keep all members of the family entertained.
We look forward to an enjoyable and social day and hope for a good turnout to celebrate this special year. I’d like to thank all the people involved for volunteering their time and energy into organising and participating in the show - without them these important local events could not continue.
An attractions ring runs throughout the day. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all who are able to come along and support us in our 200th year.
