Last month saw a celebratory ‘Open Day’ held at the Regency Hall in Saundersfoot.

The Main Hall and Sunlounge showcased all but a few of the classes and charities that currently run on a regular basis, and serve the Community extremely well.

From Welsh Conversation Classes to Saundersfoot WI, all stand holders were pleased with the amount of people visiting the Hall and the interest the Open Day had created.

It was an opportunity for the general public to ask question face to face which then saw many new members signed up.

The local Charity stalls had lots of new enquires, and class tutors met up, (many for the first time) to share tips and ideas.

Throughout the day First Aid demonstrations were carried out by Tenby and Saundersfoot First Responders, and Mr John Patel offered free BP checks in conjunction with Saundersfoot Rotary.

Freddie the Frog put in an appearance at the Playgroup where fun games and activities were provided.

The Regency Hall Catering Team (Mary and Tess) kept everyone well feed, providing a steady flow of Tea, Coffee and Bacon Rolls, all of which was greatly appreciated.

The Regency Hall itself had a Wedding and Event Stall and was pleased to announce on the day, that the application for a Wedding Licence had been granted. We can therefore not only offer the Hall as a Wedding Reception Venue but also a place where couples can say ‘I do’.

One lady on the day explained: “I could attend a group or class 7 days a week, from 9.30am – 9pm if I wanted to, and that there was something here at the hall for everyone.”

The day was a great success with requests for a yearly event.

The Regency hall would like to thank all who attended ,and for the continued support throughout the year.
