Narberth Energy and SwimNarberth funds are on the brink of £100,000.
With just days to go, one final push is needed and they will reach their first target of £130,000 to enable them to save Narberth Swimming Pool for the foreseeable future.
Chairman of the Friends of Narberth Pool and Mayor of the town, Clr. Mrs. Sue Rees, told the Observer this week: "I would like to thank everyone who has invested, or donated, and enabled us to reach this fantastic amount.
"We just need everyone who has not yet honoured their pledges, please to do so before October 31. If you have not invested yet, please consider doing so now, or if you know someone who could invest, give them the details. They don't have to live in Pembrokeshire, they could be anywhere in the world and own shares in a community pool, in a vibrant, beautiful small town in Pembrokeshire."
Clr. Mrs. Rees added: "For further information, please go to [email protected]">[email protected], or call in at the pool or the Span building, or ring me on 07532197392."
And she concluded: "Our thanks also go to all the press and media who have supported us from the beginning and given us a platform to tell everyone about our campaign."
