A group of runners are lacing up their trainers to take part in marathons in aid of Bloodwise.
Bloodwise has been very supportive of local man John Lewis who has been suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.
With the help of Bloodwise, he was given a bone marrow transplant which has led to his remarkable recovery.
John is now cancer free and he’s in remission.
There are 137 types of blood cancer and related disorders, and every 14 minutes in the UK, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer or a related disorder. That’s almost 38,000 people every year or 104 each day.
