If you fancy training in drama techniques, devising plays and performing alongside other like-minded children and young people, then this is the opportunity for you. Narberth Youth Theatre is offering just 40 places for children and young people aged eight to 16 years to participate in their new NYT Drama Summer School from Tuesday - Saturday, August 12 - 16t, on the first floor of the Old Courthouse in Narberth. Participants will be split into two groups according to age and experience so everyone can feel comfortable and be appropriately challenged. Drama skills and characterisation techniques will be explored with NYT facilitators performer/artist Sophie Pierce and Carolyn Young, along with NYT artistic director and professional writer, Meredydd Barker. A play will be created where participants will get to show off their new skills to friends and family at this year's Narberth Children's Festival on August 16.
