The Rotary Club of Saundersfoot recently held their annual charity quiz evening at the Merlewood Hotel, Saundersfoot, and this again proved to be another successful and enjoyable fundraising evening.
Over 20 teams of four took part and again wrestled with 10 rounds of trivia and general knowledge questions, which were compiled for the 17th consecutive year by veteran quizmaster, Rotarian Ian Nicholls. Questions varied from the intriguing to the oddly peculiar.
Teams participating included - Paddy's Clan, Tenby Camera Club, The Haymakers, Tangent, The Four Cs, Archivists, Tenby Rotary Club, Tenby Sharks, Probus, Swingling Sefties, Whitlow Warriors, Norfolk Immigrants, St. Issells Belles, Probus Ladies, Mamgu, Short Planks, Sandyhill Mob, Guide Dogs Cymru, Minus One, Inner Wheel, Saundersfoot.
The winners were 'Norfolk Immigrants', who won the charity shield for the second successive year.
At the conclusion of the evening, Rotary president Rob Talboys congratulated the winning team, who generously returned their prize money, and he thanked all competing teams for their generous participation, as well as thanking quizmaster Ian, and fellow members who acted as scorers and waiters.
The event raised well over £300 for charity.
