In July, a group of 43 pupils participated in the annual exchange with Pipriac. Once again it proved to be a tremendous success with everyone enjoying a fun-filled week.

Pupils had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of events with their exchange partners, including canoeing, climbing, abseiling, cycling and tree climbing! There were visits to the beautiful, local villages to buy souvenirs and sample the delights of the 'patisseries', an activity thoroughly enjoyed by the Dyffryn Taf staff!

'Puy de Fou', a famous attraction in the vicinity, allowed pupils to rediscover eras from yesteryear. Roman games were relived in the realistic amphitheatre, where students saw some serious gladiator combat. The party travelled back to the Year 1000 where they witnessed a Viking attack on a fortress.

Pupils found the exchange an enriching experience. They enjoyed their time with the families, were immersed in French culture, making lasting friendships and developing their linguistic skills at the same time.

"Everyone is looking forward to next year's trip already," said Mrs. Lloyd Phillips, French teacher at Dyffryn Taf. Tres bien!

The French experienced continued back at Dyffryn Taf when pupils had a go at making crepes recently during a French lesson. Pupils prepared and cooked these traditional French pancakes with the help of staff and were then able to sample their fantastic creations.
