Computer classes: Do you want to learn how to use a computer in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere? From 'how to turn on the computer' to 'how to navigate the internet'... You don't need to have your own computer as there are laptops available for your use during the lessons.

Weekly computer classes start at Whitland Memorial Hall on Thursday, September 20. A New Beginners Class will be available from 1 to 2 pm, while for those who already have some knowledge, but 'Want to Know More', there is a class from 2.15 to 3.45 pm.

Job Club: If you are unemployed and looking for work stop by the Memorial Hall on Wednesdays between 2 and 4 pm. The Job Club is a voluntarily run group to try and help people in their quest for a job. Totally free and informal, it meets every Wednesday to give people, if nothing else, a chance to have a chat with others in similar position on their experiences and problems encountered.

New topics of interest for talks, workshops courses are now being planned to start in the near future. Please drop by to let us know of the topics you think you would benefit from or would like to see discussed. We will do our best to deliver!

There is always someone at hand to provide free help on how to look for work and the Job Club also gives free use of computers and internet access for job searches, with help at hand if needed to navigate through the system.

Every Wednesday, the latest job vacancies (no more than two days old) are posted on the Job Club notice board (reverse side of Memorial Hall notice board).

Yoga class: A yoga class is held at the Memorial Hall every Tuesday evening from 7 - 8.30 pm (please use side entrance).

It is ideal exercise for health and relaxation, and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

No experience is necessary, but please wear comfortable clothes and bring a blanket (for the cooling off period) and a yoga mat if you have one (a few will be available).

Whist Drives: Regular whist drives are held at the Memorial Hall, Market Street, Whitland, on Wednesdays (1st, 2nd and 4th of the month) and the second Saturday.

Workways: Workways officers will be in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday, September 12, from 2 to 4 pm, to give advice and support to those unemployed and looking for work.

Workways provides Co-ordinated Employment Gateway - ensuring access to all available support; Effective Mentor Support - dedicated one to one advice and guidance; Job Focused Training - identifying specific courses and qualifications; Employer Liaison - supporting employers to employ local people; and Return to Work Support - all aspects of jobsearch techniques and work tasters.

Produce Market: The next Produce Market will be held at Whitland Memorial Hall tomorrow (Saturday) between 9.30 am and 12.30 pm.

Regular stallholders include Pam Gresty from Cwrtau Bach Farm, Christine James from Tavernspite Tea Rooms, Lucy and Wendy Bevan from The Comfort Zone, Barry Hathway from F. J. Hathway and Sons, Paul Oeppen from Hazelwell Organic Farm and Sarah Miller from Sarah Miller Cooks Your Homemade Preserves and Pickles.

Gift and Craft Fayre: A variety of gifts from local craftspeople will also be on offer during the market. Entry is free and there will be refreshments available.

Table Top Sale: By popular demand, an 'indoor car boot sale' will be held at Whitland Memorial Hall on Saturday, October 13, from 9.30 am - 12.30 pm.

It is all under cover, so weather is not an issue! Entry is free and refreshments will be available.

True Relax: Are you stressed, tired, anxious or suffering from sleep problems? Do you want to learn simple, effective techniques to combat all of these? Lay back and unwind in the True Relax workshops, which are starting in the Whitland Memorial Hall in September.

The first of the monthly workshops will be on Monday, September 10 (7.30 - 8.30 pm), and then every second Monday of the month. Cost is £5 person or £4 for OAPs, under 18s and unemployed.

Advice Surgery: Shelter Cymru's Cyngor 50+ Advice will next be in the Memorial Hall on Wednesday, October 3, from 10 am to 1 pm.

Rainbows: Rainbows, the youngest members (five to seven-years-old) of the Girl Guides organisation, are coming to Whitland! They will be starting in October in the Memorial Hall on Wednesdays at 5 pm.
