For the ultimate dining experience, look no further than The Grill House, Tenby.
Recently launched as The Mews Bar and Grill’s new brand, it boasts an exciting menu created by owner and chef David Douglas-Law.
Pembrokeshire’s only authentic live open flamed wood charcoal grill restaurant, The Grill House, nestled in The Mews, Upper Frog Street, is one of the town’s hidden gems.
Open seven days a week, serving over 10 home-made farmhouse burgers - made to David’s own secret recipe - and the finest steaks, plus chicken, fish and vegetarian dishes, all ingredients are sourced locally, with the meat from the award-winning Eynon’s of St. Clears Ltd and most of the fish from the popular Tenby Seafayre in Tenby Market.
Specials include exotic meats like buffalo, zebra, crocodile and springbok, while unusual fish ranges from barramundi to mahi mahi. Lobster is also available to order.
In addition, there are also three house challenges - either a 72 ounce steak, a 64 burger or chicken hot wings - which are right up there with the best man versus food contests and certainly not for the faint-hearted. Pre-booking is essential for these three challenges!
With two young children himself, David and wife Stephanie, who helps front-of-house, have an extensive children’s menu, with home-made favourites like chicken nuggets and cod bites, plus the option to have smaller portions of some of the meals on the main menu.
A range of starters and mouthwatering desserts complete the menu.
All types of functions are catered for at The Grill House, which also has an outdoor seating area (with gas heaters), newly-refurbished toilets, and a well-stocked bar with premium lagers, Peroni and Stella, Guinness Surge, Stowford Press on draught, and local beers from Tenby Brewing Co, as well as an extensive wine list and large selection of spirits and soft drinks.
