Wars, earthquakes, famines, extreme weather, deceptions, are these just occurring or are they the signs that Jesus spoke about?

Jesus talks about the end of time, stating that these things are the 'birth pains' of the end of the earth as we know it. (Mathew 24*)

So is it dooms day or the day we have all been waiting for?

As everything ends, where do you stand, looking at the mess wondering what's going on or looking to the sky waiting for Jesus? The world may think this is madness, but Christians believe that, like Aslan in the Narnia Chronicles, Jesus is coming back!

Recent meteorite showers pale into insignificance compared to Jesus' description of his return: "For as the lightning flashes in the east and shines to the west, so it will be when the Son of Man comes... Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will give no light, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken... at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens... there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth... they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory... he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet... they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world - from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.*"

We've seen the films, is this the reality? According to Jesus, yes. So what must we do?

Simple: join up with Jesus, the creator of the World. Be honest, talk to the creator, recognise who 'He' is. Realise your faults, but accept you can be made faultless, because Jesus' death perfected all our faults. All we have to do is believe, follow, trust, obey, love and wait for him.

You may feel like a pile of dry bones; lifeless, pointless, with no hope. God can give you life!

"There was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them... and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet - a great army." (Ezekiel 37)

Jesus is the breath of life, without him we are living corpses. Jesus gives us hope and life, forever.

This world is temporary; God's Kingdom is eternal.

Accept his invite and look for the signs of his return today.
