Narberth Branch RNLI
At a recent meeting of the Narberth branch of RNLI held at Plas Hyfryd Country Hotel, Narberth, chairman David Gibbs welcomed two new members, Mrs. Janet Phillips, of Llanddewi Velfrey and Mr. Jeffrey Jenkins, of Narberth.
Detailed arrangements were made for the annual luncheon which will be held at Plas Hyfryd Country Hotel on Sunday, May 17. Tickets priced £16 will be available from committee members shortly.
It was confirmed that a musical evening featuring the Tempus Vocal Group will be held at Narberth Rugby Club on Friday, September 11. Further details of the arrangement for both events will be announced nearer the dates.
A bucket collection will be made during the half time interval of the Narberth rugby match against Whitland on Easter Saturday, April 11.
It was decided to have a stall at the Narberth Carnival on Saturday, July 25, to guess the name of the teddy bear and to sell the RNLI sweepstake of 50 pictures on each card.
Members will also sell RNLI Lottery tickets at the Pembrokeshire County Show in Haverfordwest in August.

Various ideas were discussed for other fund raising events over the next 18 months and will be considered in more detail at the next meeting which will also be the annual general meeting. It will be held at Plas Hyfryd on Monday, April 20, at 7.30 pm.
Narberth RFC 100 Plus Club
Winners of the March draw were: 1. £30 - Dorian Howells, of Narberth (number 93); 2. £20 - John and Lily Bellamy, of Narberth (number 122); 3. £10 - David Thomas, of Ludchurch (number 1080).
Anyone wishing to be a member can still join. Annual membership is £10 which is for the 2008/09 season. Enquiries should be addressed to the club steward Anne Lonsdale at the clubhouse on (01834) 860462.
Rugby Fixtures
Tomorrow (Saturday), Narberth are away to Carmarthen Athletic in Division One West of the SWALEC Welsh National League. The supporters' bus will leave the clubhouse at 1.15 pm.

Narberth Athletic are home to Waunarlwydd in the Carmarthen Tyre Services Championship West Wales Premier League and the Youth team are away to Milford Haven.
Kick -off for all matches is at 2.30 pm.
Transition Narberth
Tomorrow (Saturday), inspired by the 'reduce, reuse, recycle' principle, Transition Narberth are hosting a jumble sale at St. Andrew's Church Hall in Narberth.
Donations of clothes, toys, household bric-a-brac etc are welcome, and can be delivered either in advance in Narberth - contact Geraldine Leach on 861187 or Llandissilio, contact Chris Lawrence on (01437) 563936, or at the hall on the day from 10 am - 12 noon. Doors open to the public at 2 pm and refreshments will be available.
Templeton and Reynalton United Reformed Churches
The united service on Sunday will be held at Reynalton United Reformed Church at 11 am and will be led by Mr. Duffet, of Tenby.
The Good Friday Concert on Friday, April 10, will feature the Landsker Singers.
Meat Draw
Winners of the Narberth RFC Supporters' Club meat draw this week are as follows: beef - Penry Harries; lamb - Paul Scheffler; pork - Anne the Dragon. The supporters' club raises money each week on behalf of the rugby club through the meat draw. Supporters interested in having a ticket at £1 per ticket with three chances to win a joint of meat for the weekend, should contact Shelley Morris on (01834) 861897 or any member of the supporters' committee. The draw takes place every Friday evening.
