Grace Church
Grace is a family of people committed to Christ and to each other in order to bring honour to God and spread the good news about Jesus and his kingdom. We meet every Sunday morning in the Queen's Hall, Narberth. We also have weekly prayer, youth, Alpha, Foundation in Christ and other activities held in the Court House, Market Square, which also is the office base for Grace Church and the location of Liberty Cafe.
The work of the church includes the regular teaching and preaching of God's word; prayer and intercession; overseas mission; ministry for children, middles and seniors; support of ministry within the church and overseas; counsel to those in crisis; services in homes for the elderly, to name some.
The Court House is available to suitable groups from the community who are able to hire a room or hall. A variety of users avail themselves of this facility and enables us to serve the community.
You are most welcome to visit us this Sunday - the service in the Queen's Hall commences at 10.30 am and coffee is served from 10 am. A crèche is available when the speaker commences and an active ministry time for older children. The senior pastor is Paul Dando.
Bethesda Baptist Chapel
Services at Bethesda Baptist Chapel, Narberth, in the week beginning Sunday, September 21, are as follows:
Sunday School starts at 10.15 am. Morning service takes place at 10.30 am and the evening service at 6 pm. Both services will be taken by Rev. Chris Rees, the minister of Bethesda Chapel.
The Bible study (on the subject of Revival) and prayer meeting takes place on Tuesday at 7.15 pm.
A Christian bookstall will be held in the Country Market in Narberth's Queen's Hall on Thursday between 9.30 am and 12 noon.
All are very welcome to these meetings.
Cricket Club
Winners of the National Lottery bonus ball draw organised by the ladies committee of Narberth Cricket Club this week were: Group A - Colin Williams; Group B - John Davies.
A reminder is given that the annual dinner will take place on Sunday, October 5, at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel. Anyone wishing to book can 'phone Emma Richards on 860046.
Meat Draw
Winners of the Narberth RFC Supporters' Club meat draw this week were as follows: beef - Tony Jones; lamb - Jo Lidbury; pork - Hughie John.
The Supporters' Club raises money each week on behalf of the Rugby Club through the meat draw.
Supporters interested in having a ticket at £1 per ticket with three chances to win a joint of meat for the weekend, should contact Shelley Morris on (01834) 861897 or any member of the supporters' committee.
The draw takes place every Friday evening.
Robeston Wathen Scottish Dancers
Robeston Wathen Scottish Dancers are holding a 'Have a Go Evening' at the Village Hall, Robeston Wathen, on Friday September 26, from 7.30 pm until 10 pm.
Entry fee is a modest £2 to cover the room hire.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mrs. Jean Elliott said: "We have members from Robeston Wathen, Narberth and surrounding areas, including places such as Crymych and Tenby."

NARBERTH BAPTIST FELLOWSHIP
A 60-year-old couple was celebrating their 40th year of marriage. During the celebration, a genie appeared and said, "Because you have been such a loving couple all those years, I would like to give you each one wish." The wife quickly chimed in, "I want to travel around the world." The genie waved his arms and, poof!, she had the tickets in her hand. Next, it was the husband's turn. He paused for a moment, then said shyly, "Well, I'd like to have a wife 30 years younger than me." The genie waved his arms and, poof!, he was 90-years-old.
We seem to be fascinated by stories of magic genies granting wishes. Which of us hasn't sat and wondered 'If a genie granted me three wishes, what would I wish for?' Some even imagine God to be like a magic genie waiting at our beck and call to give us everything we ask for. They are going to be so disappointed. But even so, God is at work powerfully in those who trust Him. Listen to these words of St Paul:
'Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen' (Ephesians 3:20-21).
When things in life are beyond our control, we find strength and inspiration in knowing that God has such power - not the power of an imaginary genie, but the power of a loving Heavenly Father.
Narberth, Templeton and Reynalton United Reformed Churches
The United Service on Sunday will be held at Reynalton United Reformed Church, at 9.30 am, and will be led by Rev. Nanette Lewis-Head, of Tenby.

World's Biggest Coffee Morning
The Narberth Group, Friends of Macmillan, are joining in the World's Biggest Coffee Morning and will hold their event in the RAOB Club on Town Moor at 10 am on Friday, September 26. There will be a raffle, and cakes and Christmas cards stalls. The money raised will go to Macmillan Cancer Support, to help improve the lives of people in this area affected by cancer.

In a special message to members, Freeman Brawn, who deals with applications for international tickets, said: "Whilst the autumn series of internationals are still some time away, the club invites members to apply for tickets for the matches against South Africa on November 8 and Australia on November 29.
"There are a very limited number of tickets available for New Zealand on November 22 and these are single tickets rather than pairs.
"Members looking for South Africa and Australia tickets are unlikely to be disappointed and should make their applications to Anne Lonsdale at the clubhouse on (01834) 860462 or to Freeman Brawn on 07974 355116, at anytime, or (01834) 860346 after 7.30 pm."
Rugby Fixtures
Tomorrow (Saturday), Narberth are away to Carmarthen Quins in Division One West of the SWALEC Welsh National League. The supporters' bus will leave the clubhouse at 1.15 pm.

Narberth Athletic are home to Llandovery in the Carmarthen Tyre Services Championship West Wales Premier League and the Youth team are home to Cardigan.
