Grace Church The Court House, Market Square, Narberth, is the venue where Grace Church meets every Sunday morning. The Liberty cafe is open to serve coffee from 10 am prior to the main gathering at 10.30 am. It is an all age church, with an active crèche, teens, young, middle and seniors. Following on from the main Sunday morning service, refreshments are served in the Liberty cafe. Come at whatever time you can, leave when you want. The speaker on Sunday was Phil Prosser, who continued with the series 'People of the Way'. Paul Dando was speaking at Bethel Church, Newport, where he was very warmly received. It was the church he had grown up in and had previously pastored. It was a delight to see first-hand another 'church reformed and always reforming'. You are welcome to Grace Church this Sunday at the Court House. The main gathering is from 10.30 am to 12 noon.

Meat Draw

Winners of the Narberth RFC Supporters' Club meat draw this week are as follows: beef - Richard Nicholas; lamb - John; pork - Cliff The Post. The Supporters' Club raises money each week on behalf of the Rugby Club through the meat draw. Supporters interested in having a ticket at £1 per ticket with three chances to win a joint of meat for the weekend, should contact Shelley Morris on (01834) 861897 or any member of the supporters' committee. The draw takes place every Friday evening.

Vice-Presidents Meeting

A meeting of Narberth RFC vice-presidents and patrons will be held at the clubhouse on Monday, February 25, at 8 pm. At the meeting, presentations will be given by director of rugby, Jonathan Dodd, together with other club officials. Vice-presidents and patrons attending the meeting will receive light refreshments and a complimentary drink. The meeting is also open to supporters who are interested in becoming vice-presidents or patrons.

Bethesda Baptist Chapel

Services at Bethesda Baptist Chapel, Narberth, this week are as follows: Sunday School starts at 10.15 am. Morning service takes place at 10.30 am and the evening service at 6 pm; both will be taken by Rev. Philip Rees from Cardiff. The Bible study and prayer meeting takes place on Tuesday at 7.15 pm and Rev. Dafydd Morris (Carmarthen) will take this meeting.  The Ladies Fellowship meets on Wednesday at 2 pm when the speaker will be Mr. Richard Ford. A Christian bookstall will be held in the Country Market in Narberth's Queen's Hall on Thursday between 9 am and 12 noon. All are very welcome to these meetings.

Orange bag dilemma

Narberth holds a wonderful   record for the use of orange bags, and less bags are being condemned each week for having non-recyclable  materials inside. Over the Easter period, County Councillor Wynne Evans, along with students, will be out and about the streets of Narberth, with more information and questionnaires to  help recycle even more. Cricket Club

Winners of the National Lottery bonus ball draw organised by the ladies committee of Narberth Cricket Club this week were: Group A - Jan Kelly; Group B - Wayne Howells. Members are reminded that the annual general meeting takes place on Monday, March 3, at 7 pm, at the rugby club, while the same night, indoor net practice begins at Tenby Leisure Centre from 9-10 pm.

Rugby Fixtures

Tomorrow (Saturday), Narberth are without a Division One West league fixture because of the international match at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, between Wales and Italy. Supporters not travelling to Cardiff for the international can watch the match live on the big screen at the Narberth clubhouse. Hot food will be available at the affordable price of £2 and there will be 30p off a pint of beer from 2.30 to 4.45 pm. Kick-off is at 3 pm, but television coverage starts earlier.

Christian Community Church

This Sunday's service will be in Bloomfield House Seminar Room at 10 am. The speaker will be Dr. Ryland Jones from Carmarthen. House groups will be held on Thursday at 7.30 pm. A warm welcome to all.

Tabernacle United Reformed Church will hold a service at 9.30 am this Sunday which will be conducted by Rev. David Faulkner. The United Holy Communion Service at Templeton United Reformed Church on Sunday at 6 pm will be led by Rev. Nanette Lewis Head, of Tenby. A warm welcome is extended to all. Croeso cynnes i bawb.

International Tickets

Members of Narberth RFC are reminded that tickets for the Wales v France international on Saturday, March 15, at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, will be available for collection at the clubhouse from Saturday, February 23. Paid-up vice-presidents and members can call the club steward, Anne Lonsdale, at the clubhouse, on (01834) 860462, to find out if they have been successful with their applications for tickets. Any tickets not collected a week before the match will be reallocated to other members, players and supporters.

Span Arts news

Tomorrow (Saturday) sees the start of the audio drama series for young people, led by Derek Webb. This is a five-week course that will lead to a play for radio, with music and sound effects, and the production of a CD which the participants take home with them at the end. The course is run from 10 am - 1 pm for five weeks at a cost of £25. 'Kill for a Seat' comedy club returns on March 13 and features two great comics, Robin Ince and Carrie Quinlan. Extra surgeries

County Councillor Wynne Evans is to hold extra surgeries after excessive demand for appointments from local residents. "I must apologise to everyone who I was not able to see at my surgery last Saturday morning," he said. "As of March, I will be introducing an extra surgery on a weekday evening so I can fully address the concerns and problems of local residents."
