Most library users in Narberth will be aware that a new library building is about to be built at the rear of the recently-renovated Old School.
What is perhaps not generally known is that this will also be a community space that can be used by everyone in the neighbourhood, not just library users.
Therefore a survey, until November 30, is taking place ahead of the move, to ask everyone what activities the commumnity might like in the new library, as well as their expectations of the new library facility itself.
The survey can be accessed online at: https://haveyoursay.pembrokeshire.gov.uk/narberth-library, or a paper copy is available in the present Narberth Library, or from other venues in town. There is also a separate survey for children.
As Narberth County Councillor Vic Dennis has said, ‘this is a really exciting time in the development of library services in the town’ and ‘it is important that the wishes of the local community are reflected when the library moves to its new home.’
He urged everyone to complete the survey, either online, or returned to the library in St. James St. It can be posted through the letterbox if the library is not open.
Friends of Narberth Library play an important role in delivering the library service and they are keen to get more volunteers on board.
To be involved in the running of the library, please get in touch, either on Facebook or by emailing: [email protected]
The best way is probably to call in at the library during opening hours and speak to one of the volunteers, who will be happy to answer any questions.
